DISCLAIMER

At present the Here I Am App may not connect to 9-1-1 or EMS services in your area. It was created as an alternative to the emergency services for getting help when you cannot call or dial 9-1-1 or emergency services. Currently, the Here I Am App will allow you to send an emergency message to friends or loved ones. The idea is that the person(s) receiving the message is to call their local 911 or EMS services on behalf of the person in need. As the person in need may not be in the same 911 or EMS service area as the person(s) receiving the message, by giving the 911 operator the person in need’s exact GPS location, the local 911 operator will be able to connect the person calling on behalf of the person in need with a 911 service local to where the person in need is located.

We are in the process of working with government agencies to create technology for text messages to interact with 9-1-1 and EMS. Once the systems are in place for text messaging to connect with 9-1-1 and EMS, we will update the App. When an update for the App becomes available you will be notified by Apple App or Google Play stores.

Please ensure that your cell phone’s settings are set to “ON” so that your phone may receive GPS signals. This is necessary for the App to function properly. The App does not use the internet 3G, 4G or 5G for connectivity.

Here I Am App, its founder, president and CEO will not be liable for the misuse and negligent use of the Application.

Please be responsible and make sure that your cell phone and GPS signals are working in order for this App to function. It does not use the internet, 3G, 4G or 5G for connectivity. However, some mobile phones work on 4G or 5G for voice and text so talk to your cell phone company and run some tests on your location where you want to use the App to make sure it works properly.
